how I approach leadership
There are three leadership truths that are at the heart of my development approach:
1) Everyone can be a leader and has the potential to be a leader.
Being a leader is just about influencing those around you to accomplish goals and thrive. This means that you can be a great leader to your team at work, your family, or even to the person you buy coffee from everyday. Leadership is not based on talents or life situation.
2) Leadership at it's core is about character and integrity.
Leadership development is about knowing your own values, building character, and learning the skills to build better relationships and help other thrive.
3) To be a truly great leader, it's a lifestyle.
Being a real leader isn't about just acting a certain way at your job, it's about influencing everyone around you to help them thrive. This takes constant and intentional internal growth and practice.
